The Bazzi brothers set out to chase the American dream — to become their own bosses while building something meaningful for their family and community. Their journey was grounded in strong family values, hard work, and a commitment to serving the neighborhoods around them.

1989 | Warren, Michigan

A Two-Bay Garage and a Big Dream

Their first location opened in 1989 at the corner of 13 Mile and Hoover in the city of Warren. It wasn't a large store or a fancy operation. It was a two-bay garage with full-service gas pumps, a four-foot candy rack, a chip rack, and a two-door cooler.

It was small in size, but had long hours, determination, and a genuine dedication to treating everyone as friends and family.

1992 – 2006 | Growing the Family

Store by store, year by year

As the community embraced the store, the vision began to grow. A second location opened just three years later, expanding beyond vehicle service and into the full convenience store business.

The momentum continued with a third store in 2002 and a fourth in 2006 - each new location built on the experience and lessons learned from the last.

A Bigger Stage

Today, Chillbox operates 41 stores, serving thousands of customers across the communities it proudly calls home. While the company has grown far beyond that original two-bay garage, the philosophy remains the same.

And the journey is far from over. With new locations on the horizon, the Chillbox story continues to be written.
